We are a local craft meat shop, offering high quality meats and grab & go options like pre-made meals and deli sandwiches. We exist to feed & nourish the community.

Salt, by nature, enhances flavor and brings out the best in food just as we strive to bring out the best in the people around us, whether that be our local community or the farmers and ranchers we partner with. We are the local choice for the best meats in Castle Rock, connecting the community and local farms and ranches.

ABOUT US

Growing up right here in Castle Rock, Jordan started learning about meat science at a young age through 4H and FFA. While at Colorado State University earning a masters degree in Meat Science, she worked in the school’s meat lab and managed catering events for hundreds of people. Before launching SALT, Jordan spent a number of years certifying food labeling claims, including natural, organic, Non-GMO, and animal welfare verification programs. She also spent the last several years gaining experience in marketing and consumer insights related to food.

Jordan and her husband Ralph, also a Colorado native, live on a farm near Elizabeth with their three young children. Ralph is passionate about animal nutrition and he raises pigs for 4H and FFA youth whom he mentors, as well as some of the pork featured at SALT.
